Claire is a lawyer who founded CLR Law in 2010, when she wanted to break free from the traditional law firm model in order to offer a more flexible and accessible service to businesses and employees.
She has practised law since 2001 and has a wealth of experience specialising in employment law, making her an expert in her field.
Claire covers all aspects of employment law and clients welcome her clear advice, straight talking attitude and no-nonsense approach. She has worked with a range of clients from SMEs to PLCs, local councils to schools and charities. Claire also has a great deal of experience in the food manufacturing industry, having undertaken the role of Interim Senior Employment lawyer at Northern Foods plc where she worked closely with the HR Directors and Managers across the different divisions to provide both day to day and strategic advice.
Claire obtained a Masters degree in employment law and relations in 2008 and she is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She presents regular seminars and training workshops on all aspects of HR and employment law.
Claire has two daughters and in her spare time, she enjoys cycling with her family and is a keen golfer.
Yvonne, originally from Yorkshire, but firmly established in the North East since 2004, qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has specialised in employment law since that time.
Yvonne has a wealth of experience acting for employees and employers in both the private and public sectors, dealing with contentious and non-contentious areas. She particularly enjoys carrying out training for clients and has a particular interest in discrimination law.
Yvonne is mum to 2 children and in her spare time enjoys reading, baking, creative writing and striding out on the fell with her bouncy black Labrador.
Holly is our legal cashier and has been with the firm since March 2015. She splits her time between CLR Law and an accountancy firm. She is currently studying for her Level 2 AAT qualification.
Holly has two children and enjoys spending time outdoors.
